Faculty Positions


The Department of Physiology in the School of Medicine at LSU Health New Orleans is seeking candidates for a full time instructor - research position. Successful candidate will conduct research on the biomedical consequences of alcohol and drug abuse on epigenetic mechanisms underlying progression of immunodeficiency syndrome progression; mentoring and support will be provided from senior funded faculty members. A minimum of five years post-doctoral experience is desired. Experience with in vivo and in vitro experimental design, proficiency in cell isolation and expansion, molecular biology techniques, and manuscript preparation are necessary. Candidates will also be required to demonstrate the ability to teach human physiology at the undergraduate and graduate level, and mentor graduate students/postdoctoral fellows.
